A friend shared a story of his daughter who was overwhelmed with the storms of life and her struggle as she faithfully continued to try to stand up for what was right. He told her that, "A lighthouse does its most important work in the middle of the storm". That statement brought so much into perspective as we strive each day to live in the world and not of it. We can all be a light to others as the storms of life rage around us. I am so thankful for this sweet friend and the vision he gave us to see ourselves as the lighthouse and despite the opposition and trials around us, we can still stand strong as we let our light so shine.
